Students always find elbow training a lot of fun. Elbow combinations are exciting to learn and liberating in application. Most of all, this training frees the body quickly. You will feel your joints more open and flexible, your waist and back more pliable, greater body awareness and your coordination improved.
The elbow is one of the body’s most powerful natural weapons. Everyone finds it easier to generate power through the elbow than the fist. For self-defence, it allows the body to generate great power over a short distance. It teaches you to find your own natural response to any form of physical violence. This response begins to become a natural reflex after training for a few months. Once you have learnt to link the various elbow strikes while moving, you will find that you are developing a major weapon.
The training will naturally loosen and strengthen your body, developing flexibility and a springiness in your joints, thus giving you greater freedom of movement. It will stimulate the circulation of blood and qi (energy) throughout the body. Your internal organs (which are made up of body tissues) will benefit significantly from the increased oxygen supply to all the blood vessels, down to the fine capillaries. This training will leave you feeling invigorated and comfortable in your own body. Once you re-connect with your sense of inner power, it will naturally lead to greater self-confidence.
Elbow strike can be as sharp as a knife. The training allows you to deal with grabs and locks and to be more prepared in a threatening situation. Moving about with confidence in daily life is the first line of self defence.
In this course, you will learn:
- internal practices to enhance the flow of energy
- how to bring power to your hands and elbows
- 5 explosive elbow combinations
- how to link your power to create a continuous spring-like force
As well as being a fun way to develop self-defence skills, you will gain the added bonus of increasing suppleness, agility and strength.
